New deals keeping breakfast franchise on pace for 2016 goals

Huddle House franchise growth is picking up momentum in 2016, with another six restaurants added to more than 400 already open or in development nationwide. Chesapeake store pictured.

Six new Huddle House franchises opened or are in development as of the first quarter of 2016, setting a brisk pace for our fast-growing breakfast franchise this year.
 
The new openings reflect the diversity of locations that can be ideal sites for Huddle House, including travel centers, convenience store co-branding and endcap locations in addition to our more traditional free-standing models. They also reflect the diverse backgrounds of our franchisees — the owners of our new restaurants in San Juan, Texas, and Chesapeake, Virginia, came to us with no previous restaurant experience.
 
Where Huddle House franchise growth is happening
 
The Huddle House locations that opened in the first quarter are:
  • Sealy, Texas, travel center location
  • Ardmore, Tennessee, convenience store co-brand location
  • San Juan, Texas, endcap location and the first of two stores planned for the McAllen, Texas, area
  • Chesapeake, Virginia, endcap location and second store opening for our Virginia Beach franchisee
We also inked deals for two more Huddle House locations. One will open this fall in an East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, hotel in the Poconos, a popular tourist destination. The second franchise location is planned for a freestanding restaurant in College Station, Texas.
