Founded by Curt Dale as Dale Bros. Brewery, a small brewery born out of a passion for home brewing and a talent for winning medals at the LA County Fair. Joined in 2007 by his brother Andy Dale and sister-in-law Karen McMillen, the brewery began expanding as it won countless awards and gained a loyal following. The brewery began in a tiny warehouse space on 9th Street in Upland. In 2012 it moved to its current 8,200 square foot location on Porterfield Way in Upland and added a large taproom, beer garden, and a fermentation lab,. In 2016, the brothers discovered they could not trademark the name Dale Bros Brewery, and so they renamed it Last Name Brewing as a nod to its roots.
