Sellers get weekly updates on their listings by email, fax, phone, or text so they can monitor the success of the advertisements placed. After all, business brokerage is really a people business. You have to find the right buyer for the right business, and you can only do this successfully if you understand and get to know your clients as friends. Rick Carlson is the President of Ace Business Brokers. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bucknell University. After college he moved to Boston and worked for two years at Harvard Medical School, and two years on a colorectal cancer screening test at a biotechnology startup. His exposure to VC firms during this time created a passion for mergers and acquisitions, and wanting to start his own Biotech firm moved to Santa Monica to attend UCLA to get his PhD in Biological Chemistry. The business calling was overwhelming, however, and he left the Bruins to join and be mentored at VR Business Brokers. As an agent with VR Business Brokers Rick learned all of the necessary tools to create a win/win/win situation for buyers, sellers, and agents. After successfully orchestrating many transactions Rick founded Ace Business Brokers to help agents, sellers, and buyers close more transactions. Ace employs state of the art database, contact management and web development tools to make sure that everyone works together to get the deal closed.
